Our legal team is led by Mr Chung Le who is a well-regarded business lawyer with over 18 years of legal practicing and doing business in Vietnam. Chung is one of the very few Vietnamese lawyers who are qualified to practice in the State of New York and before the Supreme Court of the United States. He also holds a Master of Laws degree (LLM) from Duke Law School and a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris. Chung was previously a partner at Allens Linklaters, an international commercial law firm where he principally focused on corporate, infrastructure projects, project finance, and construction (both front- and back-end). Since April 2020, Chung has established his own law firm, Construction Law Vietnam Counsellors, a boutique firm specialising on project and construction law practice. Chung is also pursuing the Doctor of Juridical Science program (SJD) at Duke Law School on the topic of ‘Treatment and influence of common law based provisions in commercial contracts governed by civil law systems in Asian countries’. As a practicing lawyer, Chung has acted as a legal adviser in highly significant country-changing infrastructure and energy projects such as an USD9 billion refinery and petrochemical project, one of the largest in South East Asia, several complex gas-to-power, LNG-to-power projects and a number of coal-fired power plants in Vietnam.
