Our legal team is led by Mr. Chung Le, Managing Partner of Construction Law Vietnam Counsellors (CLVN).

CHUNG LE
Managing Partner
Chung is the Managing Partner of CLVN. Chung has practiced law since 2002 and he was previously a partner at Allens Linklaters where he principally focused on corporate, infrastructure projects, project finance, and construction (both front- and back-end).
He has acted as a legal adviser in highly significant country-changing infrastructure and energy projects including an USD9 billion refinery and petrochemical project, one of the largest in South East Asia, complex gas-to-power, LNG-to-power projects and coal-fired power plants in Vietnam.
Chung has also served as an arbitrator, counsel, or legal expert witness in several large-scale and complex disputes at the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).
Chung is qualified to practice in Vietnam, the State of New York and before the Supreme Court of the United States. He also holds an LLM degree from Duke University School of Law and an MBA from the Paris Chamber of Commerce.
Since 2020, Chung has been pursuing the Doctor of Juridical Science program (SJD) at Duke Law School.

- Mitsui and PTTEP on construction matters for the multi-billion US$ Block B/52 gas project in Vietnam
- PetroVietnam on construction matters for the US$3.5 billion Dung Quat refinery in Vietnam
- ACC (Holcim’s joint venture in India) on its multi-hundred million construction contracts for Jamul cement plant in India
- A petroleum company in the successful settlement of a series of disputes with its general contractor in a multi-billion dollar EPC contract for mega-scale petrochemical project in Vietnam
- An international petroleum company in the successful settlement of disputes with its contractor in multi-hundred million construction contract for offshore works in Vietnam
- A leading technical and engineering service company in the disputes with the head contractor in multi-million sub-contract in relation to a mega-scale offshore project in Vietnam
